Paul Hudson’s A to Z of British Newspaper Strips

Paul Hudson is probably best-known to readers of this website as proprietor of Comic Showcase, one of central London’s better comics shops until it closed in the mid-2000s. Well, he has spent lockdown writing a book, The A to Z of British Newspaper Strips, to be published by Book Palace in July 2020. The book does what it says on the cover; every strip that ever ran in a newspaper, from Andy Capp through Flook to The Perishers and beyond, is covered, with details of the creators and where and when it ran, an example strip, and a few words from Paul. We got a quick scan inside a copy at the recent Comics Friends United event in London, and it looks pretty impressive stuff.

Gosh! Comics on Berwick Street in London are having a signing with Paul on the last Saturday of July.
