Artist Craig Hamilton Injured In Fall

GoFund Me appeal launched by writer Nancy A. Collins to assist with medical expenses.
While walking home on the night of 11th December, after watching an open-air event, artist Craig Hamilton (Aquaman, Fables) misjudged the height of a curb, and was admitted to hospital with a dislocated right ankle and fractured ankle bones.
His friend and creative partner, author Nancy A. Collins (Swamp Thing, Vampirella) started a GoFundMe page to assist with his, likely formidable, medical bills. On 12th December, she said:
“He will require surgery and will have to have a pin placed in his ankle, which will necessitate him being in the hospital for at least two days, according to his doctor. The problem is that Craig, like many professional self-employed creatives, does not have health insurance.
“I was with him in the Emergency Room for several hours, holding his hand while his foot was X-rayed, scanned, adjusted, and stabilized. He really hates the hospital, but he’s doing his best to stay positive, joking with the nurses and techs in between bouts of heartfelt cursing.
“But the fact of the matter is that this is going to be a huge problem for him, both financially and physically for the next couple of months. He has yet to see a bill from the hospital, but the goal I’ve set for this campaign is probably on the lower side of what the final bill is going to be. …Craig desperately needs the help of his friends and fans right now. Any donations will be deeply appreciated in this time of need.”
She updated the page on January 7th:
“Craig got the cast off today! We got up bright and early (well, early) as Craig was the first patient scheduled for OrthoGeorgia today. Cast off. Boot on. Another 4 weeks without load-bearing on it, then physical therapy. But everything is looking good!”
As of January 8th, close to $12,000 has been raised toward Hamilton’s medical expenses, but since the estimated bill is in the region of $75,000, any donations are still very much needed.
