Following jeers, derision, and many parodies (including a rather good-natured one of his own in the style of Robert Crumb, see below) concerning the anatomical impossibilty of his Catwoman 0 cover first draft (left), artist Guillem March drew an altered version (right) for the released book.

Accepting for the moment that this is an actual problem in the real world – and while, as I’ve observed elsewhere, Selina has traditionally led with her charms, the current version is still restrained and modest when compared to the Jim Balent freakshow of the 1990s – my question is…

Where’s the improvement? Yeah, the poses are slightly different, but the boobs, butt, and face are still all managing to be presented to the reader at once, so… I’m not seeing the diminishment in the sexism.

Anyone?
