Cheeky Al Ewing!

That Al Ewing is a cheeky fellow, isn’t he? In issue 2 of Captain Britain and the Mighty Defenders, there’s a panel in which one of Dr Doom’s minions says “You have been victims of a passively tolerant society! A society where if you obeyed the law, you were left alone!”

Back in May, apparently David Cameron said the following to his National Security Council: “For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens: as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone.”

There have been fan images on the Internet that have Doom (and the Kingpin, and Ultron, and the Joker) speak Cameron’s words. But now it’s a canonical Marvel villain opinion. Cheeky Mr Ewing!
