Brainiac 5 risks his much-vaunted ‘super-brain’ by antagonising the galaxy’s premier telepath on account of her ladybits…
In 1963’s Adventure Comics 309, Brainiac 5 delivers a sexist snub to fellow Legion of Super-Heroes member Saturn Girl, who manfully refrains from telepathically melting B5’s much-vaunted “super-brain”.
But not content with having dodged a bullet once, he does it again ten issues later, in Adventure 319!
The real punchline here? Saturn Girl was the Legion’s leader at the time of these stories!
Instead of just claiming her right to go on the mission, she should’ve expelled Brainiac 5’s tight little green ass for insubordination!
Seriously, Brainy… Bouncing Boy gets to go on the mission, but the galaxy’s premier telepath should stay behind and crochet a casserole for the boys? Some super-genius you are!
